We are delighted to announce we’ll be hosting another sports event for LGBTQ+ women and non binary folk in January 2024! People of all ability levels, from beginner to seasoned athlete, are invited to join us for what promises to be a day of fun and socialising with your peers in the LGBTQ+ community.
When: January 27th, 12pm to 3pm (Sat)
Where: Trinity College Sports Centre, 43 Pearse Street, Dublin 2, D02 W085
Cost: €7 + the registration fee.
Volunteers will be present on the day to support and guide you as needed so please don’t hesitate to reach out to someone.
Overview of The Day’s Structure
All of the sports below are taster sessions - you do not need any previous experience in the sports to take part.
11.30am -11.50am - Registration
12.00pm - 2.30pm- A quick ice breaker followed by a mix of volleyball, wall climbing and team bonding games.
2.30pm - 3.00pm - We will finish with a short yoga session to cool down together.
Coaches, kindly provided by the Dublin City Sports & Wellbeing Partnership and Trinity College, will lead participants through all of the activities. Participants will be divided into 3 groups on the day and will rotate between the 3 activities before everyone regroups for the yoga. We ask that everyone who registers participate in all 3 sports.
Please bring your own reusable water bottle which can be refilled onsite on the day.
Showers are available afterwards for anyone who wishes to use them.
Everyone is welcome to join the organisers in Street 66 afterwards for some free pizza and socialising!
Registration Costs
The cost to register is €7 + the Eventbrite registration fee of €1.48.
This includes participation in all sports, snacks during activities (granola bars, bananas), pizza at Street 66 afterwards, and a goody bag with some lovely merchandise.
If you are not in a position to pay the fee please contact Sporting Pride (info@sportingpride.ie) or Dublin Lesbian Line (info@dublinlesbianline.ie) and we can register you free of charge.
Please note - if you do not show up on the day we cannot give your goody bag to someone else to give to you - they are for participants only.
Additional Event Information
Photographer On Site - Debbie from Studio Ten photography will be on site throughout the day. If you do not want to be included in photographs please approach the photographer to make your wishes known beforehand.
