Sporting Pride and Dublin Lesbian Line are delighted to announce we’ll be hosting an LGBTQ+ women’s* sports day as part of the Dublin Pride 2022 celebrations! Women and non binary folk of all ability levels, from beginner to seasoned athlete, are invited to join us for what promises to be a day of fun and socialising with your peers in the LGBTQ+ community.

When: Saturday June 11th
Volunteers will be present on the day to support and guide you as needed so please don’t hesitate to reach out to someone.
Please note - there is a food market in the club’s car park from 08.30am - 2.30pm on the day. Parking is limited so it is advised that you arrive using public transport.
Overview of The Day’s Structure
All of the sports below are taster sessions - you do not need any previous experience in the sports to take part.
11.30am-12.45pm - Registration
1.00pm - 4.00pm - A mix of Tag Rugby with the Emerald Warriors, Soccer with the Phoenix Tigers & Ultimate Frisbee with plenty of breaks and socialising
4.00pm - Burgers and drinks at the clubhouse!
Coaches, kindly provided by the Dublin City Sports & Wellbeing Partnership, will lead participants through the soccer and frisbee activities alongside the Phoenix Tigers and other volunteers. The Emerald Warriors will take you through their introduction to Tag Rugby session.
Registration Costs
The cost to register is €8 per person. This includes participation in all activities, a burger & chips, and a technical tshirt. You also have the option to donate to Dublin Lesbian Line, an amazing charity who do their utmost to support our community, if you choose to do so.
After Wednesday May 25th we will not be able to make any changes to orders. However, participants will still be able to register for the sports activities. As the t-shirt order will be made on May 25th people who register after this date will not receive a t-shirt.
Please note - if you do not show up on the day we cannot give your t-shirt to someone else to give to you - t-shirts are for participants only.
If you are not in a position to pay the fee please contact Sporting Pride or Dublin Lesbian Line and we can register you free of charge.
Food & Refreshments
Feed Catering will be serving up food from 4pm. The registration fee includes a burger and chips. During the registration process you will be asked to choose one option from one of the following options:
Chicken burger
Beef burger
Vegetarian burger
Vegan falafel burger
You will not be able to change your order on the day as all of the food is pre-ordered.
We ask that all participants bring their own bottled water. The clubhouse bar will be open for anyone who wants to buy a drink on site.
Entertainment
Ireland’s most loved Drag King Phil T Gorgeous will be on site to emcee on the day! Expect a bit of banter and craic with this cabaret-loving misfit!
Photographer On Site
A photographer will be on site throughout the day. If you do not want to be included in photographs please approach the photographer to make your wishes known beforehand.
T-Shirts
The registration fee also includes a technical t-shirt for each participant. You are asked to select your preferred size when registering. You will not be able to change the t-shirt size on the day as all of the t-shirts are pre ordered.
Paramedics
Paramedics from the Order of Malta will be on site. Please don’t hesitate to approach the paramedics or a volunteer if you are in need of any support.
